Rose joined Therapeutic Touch quite by accident. Upon relocating to New Jersey from Florida, she was in need of a temporary office to work out of. As fate would have it, Lisa Mott was a student in her Thai Massage class and happened to have an extra room available. Rose made it very clear that it was only temporary, and she didn't know how long she would be in New Jersey. That was back in 2002 and they are still working together.
Rose currently directs the Institute of Thai Massage (ITM)-USA, based in southern New Jersey and Florida. She is devoted to spreading this ancient healing modality to therapists and clients around the country. Rose trains thai massage therapists at top spas and massage schools around the country. If you've had a thai massage at Canyon Ranch resort, it was probably with one of her students! She is one of the leading thai massage practitioners in the profession, and we are thrilled to have her here with us at Therapeutic Touch!
Rose has been practicing and teaching Thai Massage since 1994, when she completed an intensive study program with the Thai Master Chongkol Setthakorn at ITM in Chiang Mai, Thailand, receiving certificates in Advanced Thai Massage and Assistant Teacher Training. She spent over three years working closely with the founding director of ITM-USA, the late Arthur Lambert. Rose is Nationally Certified in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCTMB), is a member of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA), and is a Registered Thai Therapist (RTT) and Approved Provider Institution with the Thai Healing Alliance International T.H.A.I.).
Rose has been practicing qi gong since 1995. She received her Qi Gong teacher training over a three year internship with Sifu C.F. Farrell of American Eagle Tai Chi and Chi Kung. She loves sharing the simple, easy-to-learn techniques and profound benefits of this ancient art with athletes, students, baby boomers, professionals, the elderly, and those recovering from injuries. Join her weekly classes at Tilton Fitness www.tiltonfitness.com, or sign-up for personalized one-on-one sessions.
The well-known teacher Jon Kabat-Zinn has helped integrate mindfulness-based stress reduction programs into wellness centers at hospitals across the country. Patients are able to reduce the physical and emotional detriments of stress related to their illness using uncomplicated, non-sectarian meditation techniques. Join Rose in a private session as she shows you how to use these age-old methods to improve your breathing, calm your mind and emotions, and bring a greater sense of clarity to your busy life.
